I really don't want to write an entry screaming and blaming one news network or pundit over another. That's already done, I rather look at possible solutions. I like sharing ideas, maybe my idea will inspire others to have ideas and maybe that will lead to some possible progression.
I feel the FCC should act on all news networks. All of them in America are bias towards one political side or another, even CNN. The closest to a non-bias news network we have in America, if you can get it through your tv subscription are not even American networks - BBC World News, DW-World (Deutsche Welle), and Al Jazeera.
The FCC needs to act by requiring all news networks to show an advisory after each commercial break, and before each program comes back on. An advisory that warns that the news network may be bias, and misleading the viewer for the purpose of political appeal and advising the viewer to see a secondary news network and for the message to provide a website for easy fact checking. I believe this may help in preventing fanatics of a certain network to believe everything and anything that comes from the pundits of such shows. By making people understand the program they may be watching may be misleading, and showing them a website for fact checking, we may prevent radicalization. I doubt this will work by 100%, but ideally this would help some realize that some of what is being reported by their favorite networks may in fact be misleading them to believe in certain views.
I ask the FCC to consider this type of advisory. It may not be perfect, but it may help.
